"My wife is a constant example of compassion in my life. NFL wives, especially those with kids, have difficult jobs. Most of this difficulty comes from dealing with their husbands and their husbands' schedule, fatigue, injuries, and the pressure of a long NFL season. When I was traded to the St. Louis Rams last season, I found out one day and was on a flight the next day. This left my wife, Brittany, with the responsibility for moving the family and tying up all the loose ends that come with a transition like that. Her compassion for me was evident when all she could do during this time period was show support and interest in how I was doing with my new team."
