"When I think of respect I think of Sam Mills (former Carolina Panthers’ linebacker and coach who passed away from cancer in 2005). He was a guy who was cool, calm, collected, and he showed that to respect somebody, you didn’t have to come at them trying to act like you were better than they were. Sam earned respect for who he was by being the man that he was. He taught me in that manner, because he was always the same guy. He had a 16-year career in the game, came to work every day, worked out everyday, and never complained."
