Council for Educational Advancement

The Council for Educational Advancement (CEA) is a 501(c)(3) foundation that serves as a proactive voice for education in the greater St. Louis area, including public, private, parochial, K-12 schools and higher education. The executive committee of the CEA also functions as the advisory board to Cooperating School Districts fund development office.

The mission of the Council for Educational Advancement is to:

  1. Serve as a proactive voice for education in the greater St. Louis area;
  2. Identify and unite education resources where possible;
  3. Focus our community's attention on education issues, solutions and successes;
  4. Serve as an advisory council for the Cooperating School Districts’ fund development office.

Excerpt from Council for Educational Advancement Bylaws:

Article III
Said corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, education and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to public school districts and other political educational subdivisions of the State of Missouri for use for exclusively public purposes, and to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
