Description: It is important to teach Character Education to all students –including early childhood age students. Learn from dynamic teacher Tina Sohn (2010 National School of Character winner) and Early Childhood expert Leslei Harper. They have the perfect recipe to enhance your classroom and school. They will share their ingredients of what it takes to build a caring academic atmosphere.
They provide research-based Character Education strategies that improve social and emotional development in younger students. Learn about "Flip for Character," a common language for school communities that increases students' Autonomy, Belonging and Competence.
This workshop is for you if you are a Pre-K-1st grade teacher who wants to know how to get started, enhance Center time and make life skills meaningful to young students. You will walk away inspired and with a recipe book/journal of successful teaching strategies and sample lesson plans.
