The Friends of CHARACTERplus was started in 2005 to bring together supportive community members, who believe in the importance of character education. Their mission is to help CHARACTERplus®, (a program of Cooperating School Districts {CSD}) increase public awareness of the character education services they provide to the community and specifically parents of school-aged children.

For an annual donation, become a Friend of CHARACTERplus!

Choose from three levels of family membership:

HONOR LEVEL Friends of CHARACTERplus Receive:

(Minimum donation of $100)

• An autographed copy of a character education related book for parents

• An invitation for two to the annual End of Year Celebration Dinner/Silent Auction

• The bi-annual Friends of CHARACTERplus Newsletter

• An invitation to CHARACTERplus’ Annual Character Education Conference Keynote Speaker Luncheon

• A discount to special events held by the Friends of CHARACTERplus

CARING LEVEL Friends Members Receive:

(Minimum donation of $50)

• A Friends of CHARACTERplus gift

• The bi-annual Friends of CHARACTERplus Newsletter

• An invitation to CHARACTERplus’ Annual Character Education Conference Keynote Speaker Luncheon

• A discount to special events held by the Friends of CHARACTERplus

EDUCATOR'S LEVEL (For school staff, teachers, & administrators) Friends Members Receive:

(Minimum $30 donation)

• A Friends of CHARACTERplus gift

• The bi-annual Friends of CHARACTERplus Newsletter

• A discount to special events held by the Friends of CHARACTERplus

Friends of CHARACTERplus Board Mission Statement:

To help CHARACTERplus increase public awareness of the importance of character education and of the services they provide to the schools in the community

A Friends of CHARACTERplus board has been formed to help achieve this mission, the Friends Board is committed to the following areas:

· Continually soliciting new board members who will take an active role in helping the board with their mission · Working with the CHARACTERplus staff to put out an informative newsletter twice a year · Working with the CHARACTERplus staff and planning and advisory council to increase the awareness of the program in participating school districts
