Word of the Month

The following are traits selected as part of the CHARACTERplus and KMOV-TV (Channel 4) Word of the Month campaign for the school year starting September 2005. Public Service Announcements highlight students from area schools as they define the word of the month in their terms. These announcements are aired at various times through daytime and evening programs.

We encourage districts and/or schools to develop their own list of traits in a consensus-building process with their community. In cases where a general or area-wide list is published or requested, we provide this set of “Words of the Month.” We welcome you to use it in a way that serves your needs.
